Description:
Louise Hill: I found my inspiration for this design on my many trips to the HK bird and flower market. I love the small traditional shops that sell all the accessories that come with owning a songbird. I used my own antique birdcage as my central focal point and added some beautifully hand-painted water feeders. Another of my favourite market finds are the ‘pretend’ colourful birds made from real feathers. For this print I bought the feeders, birds, and some lovely fresh Hydrangeas and Peonies to photograph. The beautiful bird feeders are delicately hand painted and highly prized for their unique designs. Along the bottom of the design I added the rows of little square yellow birdcages that can be found at the markets.

German Hahnemuhle 310gsm Etching Paper is a high quality thick watercolour paper and comes with a 1” inch border around the image. Printed in archival Giclee inks, the prints retain their beautiful vibrancy in colour and are guaranteed not to fade for 80+ years.
Construction: Printed onto cotton canvas in durable high quality Giclee Inks. Artwork is hand stretched onto a wooden frame which is one and a half inches thick with a white border.
